indonesia is a country that has experienced tremendous response to the gospel in past years, having grown nearly 10-fold to over 11 million. However, with this growth has come many challenges. Previously peaceful co-existence between religions has been replaced with repression and outright violence against the christian minority by the muslim majority. in addition to this, within the church herself there, occult practices, growing error filled teaching and nominalism is becoming rampant. one of the largest muslim people groups to pray for is the minangkabau numbering around 8.7 million. christians have been pushed out of government, military and academic positions. the minangkabau people are an influential people in indonesia and many have not heard the liberating freedom of the gospel. pray…
that there would be a vibrant and bondage-releasing testimony of IsaAlmasih [Jesus the Messiah] among the minangkabau
that there would be true prophetic voices of the Lord raised to right errors, occultism, animism and false teachings in the Church.
that the the hearts would be like the flag of indonesia — accepting the blood of Christ for their cleansing from the many superstitions and fears that come with following the evil spirit of this world power.
